Baldur's Gate 3 Gets Yet Another Update, What's New?

Baldur's Gate 3 Gets Yet Another Update, What's New?

Larian Studios is pulling out all the stops for the post-Baldur's Gate 3 era. To support the two upcoming new RPGs, which will be original franchises, the studio needs more resources than that. That's why a new department was recently opened and the developers are looking for new talent to push the narrative even further. However, even though an important page in Larian's history has been turned, BG3 still requires adjustments.

A new "Hotfix 31" update for Baldur's Gate 3

Baldur's Gate 3 was updated last week with hotfix 30. A patch that was significantly less extensive than others, it brought fixes to modding, crossplay, photo mode, new subclasses, and even the interface. A week later, Larian Studios informed the game community that a hotfix 31 is online. "Today's patch aims to resolve the color kaleidoscope issue that appears when changing locations, as well as other bugs that have crept into the game. We're continuing to fix some things, and we'll continue to release small patches to fix bugs in the game " the team specifies.

Baldur's Gate 3 is getting another update on May 14, 2025. What's new? As with Hotfix 30, Larian is applying fixes to the modding toolbox, and resolving a potential crash when loading a level without the required mod, and then when loading with the required mod. This patch also addresses other crash and performance issues. For example, you should no longer encounter an issue that occurs when hovering over certain items in the inventory or during a trade.

This Hotfix 31 for Baldur's Gate 3 also puts an end to graphical artifacts that could occur when teleporting using waypoints. What else can we remember? There are still improvements for the new subclasses, Photo Mode, the interface, gameplay, and scripting. The full Patch 31 Notes is available in English on Steam.
