Shortly after CD Projekt RED's announcement that Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition has gone Gold, the Nintendo Switch 2 version of the game is taking the opportunity to show off what the Big N console has to offer in this dystopian future in Night City via a Switch Handled video. How is the title that brought PS4 and Xbox One to their knees when it was released on the hybrid device on June 5, 2025, doing? The answer begins with nine minutes of gameplay.
The Switch 2 takes Cyberpunk 2077 for a spin in nomad mode
Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition will be among the games accompanying the launch of the Nintendo Switch 2 on June 5, 2025 in our country. As the name suggests, this edition will include not only the base game, but also its Phantom Liberty expansion, as well as all the DLC deployed since the release of CD Projekt RED's latest title at the end of 2020. A very complete version of this first-person RPG in control of the mercenary V and the unwanted passenger in his psyche, the legendary rockerboy Johnny Silverhand, played by the equally legendary Keanu Reeves.
In terms of performance of this Nintendo Switch 2 port of Cyberpunk 2077, we already know pretty much everything. Thanks to NVIDIA's DLSS support, both in docked and portable mode, the console should display the game at 30 FPS in 4K in Quality mode, and 40 FPS in Performance mode (provided you have a 120 Hz screen). In portable mode, players should be entitled to 30 FPS in 1080p in Quality mode, and 40 FPS in Performance mode, but only in 720p. However, it remains to be seen what all this actually gives by seeing the game in action.
This is where the video below, recently published by Switch Handled, comes in. It shows us about nine minutes of gameplay of Cyberpunk 2077 on Switch 2 in 4K, therefore docked. This gives us a better idea of the machine's capabilities to display the very demanding title of CD Projekt RED. The Switch 2 version of the Ultimate Edition of the game will in any case be offered this June 5, 2025 at a price of 69.99 euros.
