Dragon Ball: 7 Times Goku Crushed His Enemies Mercilessly

Dragon Ball: 7 Times Goku Crushed His Enemies Mercilessly

Goku is known for showing mercy to his opponents, even going so far as to turn some of his enemies into allies. However, this wasn't always the case. Indeed, during Dragon Ball, the hero has sometimes been harsh, showing no compassion. Here are 7 times when Goku showed no mercy towards his enemies.

Dragon Ball: 7 Times Goku Crushed His Enemies Mercilessly

#1 The Red Ribbon Army

Dragon Ball: 7 Times Goku Crushed His Enemies Mercilessly

During his childhood, Goku was a real executioner, not hesitating to eliminate his opponents. The Red Ribbon Army paid the price when they were annihilated by the hero. We obviously think of his assault on Muscle Tower or the final one on their base where many people lost their lives. There is one in particular, less well-known, that we would like to mention: Captain Yellow. The latter captures Upa before Goku intervenes and blows him up in his plane. The hero could have neutralized him otherwise, but he chose the most expeditious route.

#2 Tambourine

By eliminating Krillin, Tambourine would irremediably face Goku's wrath. Piccolo Daimao's child managed to escape him once, but not the second time. During the rematch, Goku, much more powerful, pushes Tambourine to flee. Instead of letting him go, he catches up to him and finishes him off with a Kamehameha. Years later, Goku will give Frieza a chance, showing that he has evolved since his childhood. In the Saiyan arc, Nappa inflicted heavy losses on the Z-Fighters. Many lost their lives against the colossus, and Goku was helpless at the time. The hero made up for it upon returning to Earth. Thanks to the Kaioken, Goku easily defeated his opponent. While he didn't kill him, that role falling to Vegeta, he still broke his back. Even if he survived, there was no doubt that Nappa would never have been able to fight again.

#4 Cell

Dragon Ball: 7 Times Goku Crushed His Enemies Mercilessly

The true hero of the Cell arc is Gohan, and Goku was perfectly aware of this. However, that didn't stop him from doing everything he could to defeat, or even eliminate, Cell. Indeed, Goku did try to finish off the antagonist. The proof? His Instant Kamehameha. Cell took the technique at point-blank range, suffering enormous damage. If he hadn't moved his core, Goku would have ended the threat for good.

#5 Yakon

Dragon Ball: 7 Times Goku Crushed His Enemies Mercilessly

In Babidi's ship, Goku had to deal with Yakon. The latter has the ability to absorb the energy of his opponents, which he attempted to do with Goku. Still, he was very weak, so the hero could have simply knocked him out. Instead, Goku turned Yakon's power against him, making him explode.

#6 Nikky and Ginger

Dragon Ball: 7 Times Goku Crushed His Enemies Mercilessly

While in Dragon Ball Z Goku doesn't kill and shows mercy, it's quite the opposite in the films. In these productions, we find the Goku of his younger years, not hesitating to eliminate his opponents. The first DBZ film, The Hunt for Garlic, is a perfect example. Goku faces Nikky and Ginger at the same time. After quickly disposing of the first, he launches a Kamehameha at the second. Problem: Nikky, on the ground, is in the line of fire. Was this intentional on Goku's part? Hard to say, in any case, Nikky's look at the moment of impact is terrifying.

#7 Broly (DBZ and DBS)

Dragon Ball: 7 Times Goku Crushed His Enemies Mercilessly

In Broly the Super Warrior, the villain shows almost more compassion than Goku by not sparing the Z-Fighters. Conversely, as soon as he had the opportunity, the hero didn't hesitate to eliminate Broly. A similar case is found in Dragon Ball Super: Broly. Once fused with Vegeta, Gogeta was on the verge of taking Broly's life. Without Cheelai's wish, the Saiyan probably would never have appeared on the cover of the manga's final volume.
