Forza Motorsport gets a huge update with tons of free content

A week ago today, the Forza series made a resounding comeback in the news with Forza Horizon 5. It must be said that the franchise experienced something unprecedented when it landed for the very first time on PS5. And the surprises aren't over yet, because this time, it's now the turn of Forza Motorsport to return to the news. So no, we'll stop you right there: this opus isn't coming (yet?) to the competition. On the other hand, it did receive a nice, big update to celebrate the series' anniversary.

Forza Motorsport celebrates its 20th anniversary with gifts

This year, it's actually 20 years since Turn 10 Studios released the first Forza Motorsport. To properly thank players for their support, the studio wanted to offer the latest installment a series of new content. Starting with a brand new race, Fujimi Kaido, which takes us straight to Japan. 16 kilometers of track, 826 meters of elevation gain, 144 turns and above all beautiful environments... There's no denying it, it's enough to make you dream.

But things obviously don't stop there. For the occasion, Turn 10 has also added several vehicle ranges, some of which are completely new. Here is the list:

  • Spirit of Motorsport Tour: 2022 Acura NSX Type S
  • Open Class Tour: 2024 Nissan Z NISMO
  • 1984 Toyota #25 Horsepower Techs Starlet Time Attack
  • 1995 Formula Drift #34 Toyota Supra MkIV
  • 2005 #1 Sierra Enterprises Lancer Evolution Time Attack

They are then accompanied by another series of cars, which join the "Racing Heroes Car Pack":

  • 2024 Ford Mustang GT3
  • 2008 Mazda Furai
  • 2001 Formula Drift #215 Nissan Silvia Spec-R
  • 1997 Toyota Mark II Tourer V JZX100
  • 1984 De Tomaso Pantera GT5

Finally, the last major new feature is that it is now possible to join other players on the track outside of competition. However, no special restrictions are imposed during these meetings. You can therefore go there with the vehicle of your choice to enjoy the track as you see fit, with a dynamic time and weather.

A completely free update

Of course, the team also took the opportunity to bring a series of fixes and improvements to the game. A particular focus was placed on improving the Drivatars' AI, which was completely reworked to make solo races more credible and more intense. New music composed by Lance Hayes has also been added, while some vehicles have received an update to their sound design. And that's just a sample of the main new features in this twentieth patch, which is not lacking in them.

And the best part? All of these new features are completely free! You can now find all of this content in Forza Motorsport, the patch having already been deployed. Remember that if you are an Xbox Game Pass subscriber, the game is available at no extra cost in the Xbox and PC catalog.
