The future Galaxy Z Fold 7 is gradually becoming clearer. According to a very detailed leak, Samsung is preparing to release its thinnest foldable model to date.
Foldable smartphones continue to grow in popularity, and Samsung remains at the forefront of this market. Every year, the manufacturer refines its models to make them more practical for everyday use. In 2025, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is set to take over with an even more refined design. According to the latest leaks, this new model could break a record in terms of thinness and size.
According to information shared by leaker @UniverseIce, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 would display dimensions of 158.4 x 143 x 3.9 mm when open. In comparison, the Z Fold 6 measures 153.5 x 132.6 x 5.6 mm. We are therefore seeing a larger, wider and above all much thinner smartphone. At just 3.9mm thick when unfolded, it would become Samsung's thinnest foldable ever, also surpassing the 2024 Fold SE model.
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 will adopt a thinner design and almost invisible screen borders
This thinness doesn't just concern the overall form factor. Samsung has also reportedly reworked the borders around the screens. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 would have internal borders of just 1mm, compared to 1.9mm on the Z Fold 6. The external screen would also be slimmer with borders reduced to 1.2mm. These adjustments, while discreet, contribute to a more modern design and a more immersive visual sensation, especially when the smartphone is open.
For the moment, Samsung has not confirmed the launch date. But several sources suggest an event in early July 2025 in New York, at which the Galaxy Z Fold 7 would be presented alongside the Z Flip 7. This timeline remains consistent with previous launches. In the meantime, these leaks offer a convincing glimpse of a device that focuses on elegance and compactness. The Fold 7 could well establish itself as the most accomplished foldable model of 2025. The brand could also take the opportunity to present new software functions optimized for this folding format, in order to reinforce the interest in its high-end range.
