Google Discover is coming (soon) to your PC

Google Discover is coming to your PC. Until now, this news feed was only accessible from a mobile device, either by swiping right on the home screen of an Android smartphone, or from the mobile version of Google Chrome. It will soon be available from your PC, directly on the home page of Google's search engine.

Google Discover is coming to the Desktop

Google has just started rolling it out directly to its search engine's home page on the Desktop. But for now, the module still seems to be restricted to certain countries. Google has reportedly chosen Australia and New Zealand to start. This is what our colleagues at Android Authority are reporting, having spotted a tweet from a user, Damien Andell, who was able to access it.

A screenshot shows the Google homepage interface, with the search field, and below it, the Google Discover news feed. The user explains in his message that Google Discover would apparently be accessible from the URL google.com/?gl=nz. Tested from our work machine, we were unable to reproduce the experience.

Google Discover is coming (soon) to your PC

The Google Discover interface on Desktop appears relatively similar to that offered on mobile, with a few differences. The space for the illustration image is therefore less important on Desktop than on mobile. Also note that for each news item displayed by Discover, the first sentence of the article is readable in the preview.

Furthermore, a customizable module, "At a Glance" is also available to display the latest information on stock prices, sports results or the weather.
