GTA 6: Rockstar confirms what no one believed and it sells the dream

These last few days have definitely been a roller coaster for players waiting for GTA 6. Indeed, after a year and a half of radio silence, Rockstar Games finally emerged from the shadows to announce what everyone was dreading: the game's delay to 2026. As a consolation, the studio nevertheless offered us the long-awaited trailer 2, which certainly dazzled the entire industry. So much so that some ended up doubting whether these were actually in-game images. But now, there is no longer any doubt.

The trailer 2 of GTA 6 is concrete!

And for good reason, it was with a simple tweet that the star-studded company decided to set the record straight. "GTA 6 Trailer 2 was entirely captured in-game on PS5, using equal parts gameplay and cutscenes," can be read on X. So, as always with Rockstar, you'll have understood that everything we see is authentic. And for those who thought we were only dealing with cutscenes, it turns out that it wasn't. Even if, needless to say, the gameplay sequences were obviously edited.

The most attentive will have noticed a small subtlety in the studio's tweet. Given the impressive beauty of what we see, one could easily have believed that these were at least images captured on PS5 Pro. However, it seems that this is not the case. Thanks to Rockstar, we have proof that the PS5 has more than enough in its belly, and it was about time! But we have to admit, this makes us all the more curious to see what the game will be like on PS5 Pro.

Un encouage qui ne faiblit pas

In any case, we can say it: Rockstar has played its hand cleverly by opting for a two-pronged communication. Because if the players did not fail to share their disappointment following the game's delay, it now appears that the pill has been swallowed thanks to the second trailer and the hundreds of images and other new information that accompanied it. Moreover, two days after its release, it remains the number 1 video game trend on YouTube, where it has already reached several million views. New record on the way?
