Nintendo Switch 2: a nice surprise announced for future players

It may not seem like it, but the release of the Nintendo Switch 2 is fast approaching. In less than a month, fans of the manufacturer will have their hands on the new hybrid console. On June 5th to be precise! And the groundwork is slowly starting to be laid. We already know that Mario Kart World will be the big launch game. However, new features of a completely different kind will also be on the cards, as you'll see.

A long-awaited new feature will be on Nintendo Switch 2

June will be a big moment for fans of the Big N, and even for the industry. Considering the titanic success of the first Nintendo Switch, its little sister will be eagerly awaited. We already know that the Japanese public has been snapping it up for pre-orders. For the moment, no stock shortages announced in Europe. However, it's a safe bet that the Switch 2 will sell out in droves this year of launch.

To please longtime fans, Nintendo is clearly preparing the ground! Through its mobile app, the manufacturer unveiled this week a new feature that many have been hoping for since the launch of the first console. This concerns the icons used to decorate your profile! Expect a real choice on Nintendo Switch 2.

In fact, the library of default profile icons, already good with a number of 147 on the first Switch, will explode with the new console. You will be able to choose on Nintendo Switch 2 from 258 illustrations in total! But the good news doesn't stop there. Previously, to have more choices, you had to be an Online subscriber and meet certain conditions to purchase new images using points.

In this vein, a whole bunch of new characters will volunteer to become your profile picture. But what many fans were waiting for was the arrival of ONE historic franchise in the gallery. It's now confirmed: Pokémon icons will be available. These will be the starters from each generation, from the first to the ninth, as well as the Let's Go mascots, namely Pikachu and Eevee. A Pokéball will also be available. This is a gesture that will delight many fans on Nintendo Switch 2!
