GTA 6: What are the first places you will be able to visit in the game?

GTA 6: What are the first places you will be able to visit in the game?

There's still just over a year to go until the release of GTA 6, now expected on May 26, 2026 for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. In addition to the second trailer (made from real footage from the game on PS5), Rockstar Games presented us with the first characters of the game, as well as the first regions of Leonida, the new MAP of GTA 6.

Discover now a preview of these locations, which will become your new favorite playground next year.

Vice City: Back to the Roots

GTA 6: What are the first places you will be able to visit in the game?

This is the main city of the game. Vice City, inspired by Miami, is clearly what players have been waiting for for a very long time. This city only appears three times in the GTA license: the first game in 1997, GTA Vice City in 2002, and GTA Vice City Stories in 2006. It's been 20 years since we last set foot in this legendary city.

In GTA 6, Vice City will be back, more incredible than ever. The city is described as the capital of sun and fun in America. Vice City brings together all the glamour, excitement, and greed of America. Each neighborhood brings its own unique touch, from the pastel art-deco hotels and white sands of Ocean Beach to the bustling panaderĂas of Little Cuba, the knockoffs of the Tisha-Wocka Flea Market, and the port of VC, the cruise capital of the world.

The Keys, the place of paradise

GTA 6: What are the first places you will be able to visit in the game?

The The Keys are a region south of Vice City. It's a place you might call "the gates of paradise." There, you must be dressed in skimpy attire, in "vacation" mode. Prepare to discover its crowded bars, in a tropical archipelago that makes you want to take it easy. In the Keys, people lead a simple, unhurried life. Grab a few drinks and settle into a beach chair, but be careful, you're at the gateway to some of America's most beautiful and dangerous waters.

Grassrivers, the hostile environment

GTA 6: What are the first places you will be able to visit in the game?

The Leonida region is inspired by Florida. You can imagine that this region will have its bayous. In GTA 6, this region will be called Grassrivers. It's simply the untamed jewel in Leonida's crown. But be careful, because you never know what lurks beneath the surface of this wilderness. Alligators are the main attraction, but there are far more dangerous predators, not to mention the strange discoveries you'll make in the mangroves.

Port Gellhorn, because there aren't only dream locations in GTA 6

GTA 6: What are the first places you will be able to visit in the game?

With Port Gellhorn, it's back to reality. Because yes, in GTA 6, there are not only dreamy landscapes and perfect small towns. The region of Port Gellhorn is the representation of remote and abandoned places. Unfortunately, this is not about to change since it is not the seedy motels, abandoned amusement parks and deserted commercial areas that will bring back tourists.

So naturally, the locals try to survive as best they can with the appearance of a new economy that has emerged in this former popular resort… based on beer, painkillers and energy drinks.

Ambrosia: the refined side of Leonida

GTA 6: What are the first places you will be able to visit in the game?

The Ambrosia region is the exact opposite of Port Gellhorn. It's a booming, expanding region where American industry and old-world values still reign supreme, no matter the cost. Thanks to the Allied Crystal sugar refinery, the locals have secure jobs, while the local biker gang provides virtually everything else.

Mount Kalaga National Park, on the border of a new state

GTA 6: What are the first places you will be able to visit in the game?

Finally, we were treated to a presentation of Mount Kalaga, a national park that is a true symbol and which is located in the far north of the Leonida region. It is a very wild region, where you will be able to get a good breath of fresh air. Mount Kalaga is home to magnificent fishing, hunting and hiking spots. In the lush undergrowth that surrounds it, hillbillies indulging in mysticism and other paranoid extremists coexist far from the eyes of the government.

These six locations are only the first places that you will be able to visit in the game. In the two trailers and the first 70 official images, we were able to discover other regions that have not yet been revealed such as Kelly Country, Peacock Bay, Marina Country or even Vice-Dale Country.

There is a good chance that Rockstar Games will be able to offer us a presentation of these locations in the coming months, closer to the release of the game, on May 26, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
