Available since last year, and more precisely since May 2024 on Xbox Series X/S and PC, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II will arrive on PS5 and PS5 Pro this summer. The announcement has just been officially made by Microsoft, Ninja Theory and PlayStation. Players will be entitled to an Enhanced version with optimization on PS5 Pro and other improvements via an update, even on Xbox and PC.
Hellblade II is coming to PS5
Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II is the sequel to Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice released in 2017 on PS4, Xbox One and PC. The game follows the adventures of Senua with a very particular psychological and sound experience that aims to highlight different mental illnesses. An experience that is highly recommended to be enjoyed with headphones with 3D spatial audio for greater immersion.
Whether it's the first opus or the second, they have both received very good feedback and are excellent titles from Ninja Theory, a studio bought by Microsoft during the development of Senua's Saga. The second game was therefore a Microsoft exclusive on PC and Xbox Series X/S, but like most of the manufacturer's titles over the past year, this one will finally arrive on PlayStation this summer. After Pentiment, Grounded, Sea of Thieves, Hi-Fi Rush, Forza Horizon 5 and soon, Gears of War, it's Hellblade II's turn to arrive on PlayStation. More than ever, Microsoft confirms its desire to put an end to exclusives and it is only a matter of time before the latest big licenses like Fable and Halo arrive on PS5.
With this re-release of Senua’s Saga, PS5 players will be able to enjoy Senua’s new adventures with improvements and brand new features that will also be present on PC and Xbox but which have not yet been detailed to date. The studio also specifies that the PS5 Pro version will be entitled to optimization. For the moment, no price or more precise release date.
