It's becoming a real treasure hunt. The wait for Hollow Knight Silksong is so long that fans are looking for the slightest detail that could indicate anything new regarding its release. While we had the brief pleasure of seeing it during the big conference dedicated to the Nintendo Switch 2, no further announcements have been made since. However, a clue may well have been discovered thanks to the manufacturer.
Hollow Knight Silksong is getting ready
The studio Team Cherry, which created the first Hollow Knight, is actively working on the sequel. However, it is being very discreet about it. Since then, information hasn't been pouring in since Silksong was announced in 2019. However, we should be getting there this year, with the release finally set for 2025. But when in 2025?
That's the question. We're reaching the end of May, and yet we still don't have a clear date for Hollow Knight Silksong. However, things seem to be starting to become clearer indirectly. Recently, we learned that the game would be part of the Game Worlds exhibition at the Australian National Museum of Screen Culture (ACMI) in Merlbourne, Australia. This will be held in September and will allow visitors to try out Team Cherry's new game. Could this be a first clue?
Another element was recently spotted on Nintendo's Japanese store. There, we find the games for the upcoming Switch 2 classified, among other things, by their release window. Among them, we are delighted to find Hollow Knight Silksong. While the game's page only states that the game will be released in 2025, here it is listed among the games scheduled to arrive after June 6.
In short, we understand that Hollow Knight Silksong will not be available at the release of the Nintendo Switch 2, on June 5, 2025. At the same time, this points to a release for the second half of the year. Will we have to wait until September and the exhibition period to finally see it arrive on PC and console? This is still to be confirmed. Still, we finally have a little more concrete information about this highly anticipated indie game.
