In about three weeks, the Nintendo Switch 2 will officially arrive worldwide, accompanied by an armada of games for the public to discover. Among them is Mario Kart World, the console's flagship launch title, which is undoubtedly highly anticipated by players despite the controversies surrounding its price. But before the successor to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe arrives in our hands, it appears that the latter has not quite said its last word yet.
A new patch for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
Indeed, the title has just received a new update bringing it to version 3.0.4. And what does it bring exactly? Mainly small fixes, intended to improve the player experience on several levels. Here's the full rundown of this latest patch for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe:
- Fixed an issue where, when playing the "Music Track" course during Time Trials and opening and closing the pause menu repeatedly, the timing of the jumping "notes" would become out of sync with the background music and the saved ghost data would start to play incorrectly.
- The timing of the jumping "notes" with the background music continues to be out of sync when opening and closing the menu after the update, but it will play with the correct timing when the ghost data is played.
- Ghost data created for "Music Track" in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe version 3.0.3 or earlier cannot be downloaded.
- Ghost data that exhibits this issue may be removed without notice from "Ghosts in line".
- Fixed an issue where coins thrown by spectators would disappear before landing on the course in the "Rainbow Road" circuit.
That's it. As usual, the latest update for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe should automatically download if you have enabled the option on your Nintendo Switch. If not, simply go to the game's icon, press the "+" button, and then select the "Update" option. Easy as pie.
