A new raid in Pokemon Scarlet and Purple
Notice to the most seasoned trainers, a new 7-star Teracrystal raid is coming to Pokemon Scarlet and Purple. This time, it's Garchomp, in its Ground Teracrystal version, that awaits you for a high-level battle. The event will be available twice, with the first session running until May 25, 2025, followed by a second session from May 30 to June 1. As with all 7-star Teracrystal raids, this Garchomp will have the Supreme Seal, which means it can only be caught once per save. So, you'd better arrive well prepared if you plan to defeat it and add it to your collection on the first try.
With its Ground Teracrystal type, the Pokémon Garchomp slightly changes the rules of the game. It becomes more vulnerable to Water and Ice-type attacks, but be careful, its arsenal will be designed to surprise even the most experienced trainers. Plan a solid strategy and well-trained Pokémon to stand up to it. Beyond the challenge, these raids are also an opportunity to collect many rare items: Gold Capsules, Tera-Shards, items useful for combat... Even if you don't capture Garchomp, the fight is well worth the detour.
How to access the Teracristal raids of Ecartlate and Violet?
If you have never participated in a Teracristal raid on Pokemon, it's time to take an interest. To access these special battles, you must be connected to the internet and have an active Nintendo Switch Online membership. You must also have progressed sufficiently in the game's main story. That said, even if you haven't yet, you can still join the raids of other players who meet the requirements.
- From the Main Menu of Pokemon Scarlet or Purple, head to the "Poké Portal";
- Then, go to the "Mystery Gifts" menu;
- Finally, select "Receive Portal News" and that's it!
