Squeezie has just unveiled his new project on social media: Ciao Kombucha, an alternative to mainstream sodas, which aren't very healthy. "Low in calories, low in sugar, rich in probiotics and unpasteurized", this drink seems to tick several boxes... But Internet users have not welcomed the news with much enthusiasm.

A year after Tibo InShape overtook him as France's top YouTuber, Squeezie is back with a rather unexpected new project: a drink described as a healthier alternative to soda. Called Ciao Kombucha, it's an infusion of green tea leaves in hot water sweetened and fermented for 15 days (which gives it a slightly sparkling taste) and then filtered. Then, different types of fresh fruit juice are added, in order to vary the recipe with several flavors such as "peach", "lemon" or "ginger hibiscus". On the website Ciao Kombucha, Squeezie explains the origin of this project:
I discovered Kombucha in Asia, and it helped me enormously to reduce my daily soda consumption. I gave myself the mission of creating one with the most accessible taste, in order to popularize this type of drink to as many people as possible: that's how Ciao Kombucha was born!
Skeptical Internet users
Despite Squeezie's popularity, Internet users were not thrilled by this new project. Some were outraged that kombucha contains a very low dose of alcohol, while others pointed to it as "yet another soulless project."

Replace your soda consumption with another industrial one where there are flowers and cute little bees…
Your product is like other industrial ones, it's made to make money, don't act like it's for people's health.
Beware of those who don't drink alcohol. Drinks contain alcohol. Not nice not to specify. pic.twitter.com/cGuGM66CLX

And he'll come out with the same spiel as all the other YouTubers: "we've been working on it for months and we're super proud of the result" blah blah blah

Paying €10.50 per liter for water and additives, well done... We wish you a big flop and success to small producers.

Good or bad for your health, it's the same fight as for Lunchly or Prime.

Unless Squeezie has some new passion for Kambucha that he's never talked about, it's just selling a product for the sake of selling a product without any passion, just to make money. It's crap https://t.co/lhBOftVZlc
we're whispering sayer like he's not rich enough?

No, but are the ytbers really going to try every possible business imaginable?? everything to make maximum profits by scamming their subscribers for products that are too expensive for what they are and that already exist https://t.co/rChR7Faczo
