Samsung's upcoming foldable smartphones are beginning to reveal their design. Technical files have leaked, revealing a slimmer silhouette for the Fold 7 and few changes for the Flip 7.
Foldable smartphones are getting better every year. Samsung, a pioneer in the sector with its Galaxy Z range, continues to refine its models to make them sleeker, thinner, and closer to a traditional smartphone. After the already slimmed-down Z Fold 6 SE, the manufacturer seems ready to go even further with its next high-end model. And this time, a new leak gives a very detailed look at what to expect.
The site SamMobile claims to have obtained CAD files of the Galaxy Z Fold 7, normally used for industrial design. These technical documents reveal the full dimensions of the device. When unfolded, the Z Fold 7 would measure 4.54 mm thick, compared to 4.21 mm for the OPPO Find N5. When folded, the smartphone would reach 9 mm. It may not be enough to break a record, but Samsung is clearly getting closer to the thinnest model on the market. The overall dimensions are announced at 158.4 x 143.1 mm when opened.

This is not the first time that details have circulated about the Z Fold 7. Previous leaks already mentioned a more wide and reduced bezels around the screens. The new data confirms this trend: Samsung is banking on a more refined device, with a sleek silhouette and a format closer to a tablet when opened. By getting so close to the thickness of the Find N5, the brand shows that it is taking the competition very seriously.
The Galaxy Z Flip 7 is also affected by this leak, but without major changes expected. It would keep similar dimensions to those of the Z Flip 6. The two models should be presented together, probably in early July. Samsung therefore continues to gradually improve its foldables with more advanced design choices. The Z Fold 7 could therefore well embody the brand's new technological showcase, focusing on finesse to seduce.
