In contrast to the frenetic tone of Pac-Man, Still Wakes the Deep offers a first-person narrative adventure focused on psychological horror and exploration. This game on Xbox Game Pass plunges us into the 1970s, on an isolated oil rig in the North Sea. You play as a worker confronted with a supernatural phenomenon that seriously disrupts the structure, the environment, and the mental state of the crew members. The atmosphere is heavy, the sound design is meticulous, and the approach is very immersive. Developed by The Chinese Room, known for contemplative and narrative games like Dear Esther and Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture, this title focuses on gradual tension and angst more than raw action. A game that will appeal to fans of mysterious stories and atmospheric experiences.
