While we're used to Steam or the Epic Games Store offering us free games, it's much rarer on Xbox, and yet! The green giant is currently offering the excellent Metro 2033 Redux, a little gem of its kind, developed by the talented Ukrainian studio 4AGames. This is a post-apocalyptic FPS with a touch of science fiction and even horror, which puts us alongside Russian survivors forced to live underground following a cataclysm. The game offers a unique experience halfway between horror and survival, sprinkled with slightly more action-oriented sequences with impeccable attention to detail aimed at providing total immersion.
Whether on Xbox, PlayStation or PC, the game is very successful and has been praised by both players and critics. While the franchise now has several installments, including Metro Awakening VR released last year, it was with Metro 2033 that it all began. In its Redux version, the game benefits from high-definition graphics as well as all the content released post-launch. Ultimately, this is the best version possible.
