From limited editions, old tournaments, or special programs, they have become a real business for some collectors. #15 Ancient Mew (Movie Promo, 2000) – ~€400

This card was distributed during the release of the film Pokémon: The Movie. A PSA10 version recently sold for around €400.

A perfect variant (CGC10) of Tropical Wind, it sold for €12,000 on eBay in 2024.

#10 Charizard (Charizard) EX Dragon Frontiers – 25,000 €

Here, Charizard completely changes its appearance by becoming darker. Released in 2006 in EX Dragon Frontiers, this Gold Star version is highly sought after, especially in mint condition.

#9 Tropical Mega Battle No.2 Trainer (1999) – ~€40,000

This trainer was awarded to the 2nd runner-up in a Japanese championship in 2005. A PSA 10 copy fetched €40,000 at auction in late 2020.

#8 Rayquaza Gold Star – €35,000 to €45,000

Appeared in EX Deoxys (2005), this Rayquaza Gold Star is a very popular illustration with players. It is extremely rare at PSA grade 10, which makes it very expensive.

#7 Summer Battle Road Mew Victory Orb Trophy (2005) – ~€50,000

#4 Umbreon Gold Star (Play Promo) – €60,000

Even rarer than Espeon, Umbreon Gold Star required 70,000 points to earn. It is one of the most sought-after cards in the Play Promo program. It easily fetches €60,000 at auction.

#3 Lugia 1st Edition (Neo Genesis) – €120,000

The majestic and legendary Lugia saw its first holographic card release in Neo Genesis (2000). In fact, it often suffered from printing defects. This is what made perfect copies (PSA 10) extremely rare and expensive.
