Since its release, Assassin's Creed Shadows has been regularly updated to address the issues that accompanied its launch. Ubisoft's latest title has one thing that can't be taken away from it: superb artistic direction and a fine technical feat thanks to the latest version of Anvil, its in-house engine. The video below demonstrates this magnificently on the PC version of the game with a powerful machine and a few additions to further enhance the natural beauty of feudal Japan as seen by Ubisoft.
A beautiful ballad for the senses in video on Assassin's Creed Shadows
While waiting to see what Sucker Punch has in store for us with Ghost of Yotei on October 2nd exclusively on PS5, Assassin's Creed Shadows is the latest modern video game representation of feudal Japan. Even if some elements might lack historical fidelity compared to the era targeted by the game, it is clear that the overall result is very beautiful to behold. This is thanks to a solid engine and great efforts on the part of Ubisoft on the artistic and technical aspects of its latest flagship game.
As usual, the YouTube channel Digital Dreams has enhanced the whole thing even further, in this case with a 4K video of the PC version of Assassin's Creed Shadows, and with a few additions of its own. The feudal Japan represented by Ubisoft's title is a feast for the eyes with all the graphics knobs turned up, notably thanks to Digital Dreams' in-house ReShade, aptly named Beyond All Limits Raytracing Ultra.
Naturally, even without this ReShade, Assassin's Creed Shadows can pleasantly flatter our retinas on PC, provided you have a sufficiently robust configuration. In this case, the video below runs on a very powerful machine with an RTX 5090, a Ryzen 7 9800X3D, 64 GB of DDR5 6000MHz RAM and a fast SSD.
