Released last April, Clair Obscur Expedition 33 continues to generate enormous enthusiasm, and not just among gamers. Its French studio, Sandfall Interactive, is certainly feeling the pull and is already working on a new project in this exciting framework. At the same time, we know that a film is in the works. While we wait to see all this, the game's 5-star English voice cast was invited to IGN's Summer Game Fest 2025 to make a nice surprise announcement.
Clair Obscur Expedition 33 soon invites us to look beyond the web
In the space of two months, Clair Obscur Expedition 3 has definitely caused a small cultural earthquake. Developed by a small team in Montpellier, and supported by an even smaller Korean animation studio, the title has made headlines thanks to its gripping story, sublime art direction, and refreshing take on the turn-based JRPG. It also boasts a top-notch voice cast, both in French and English.
At Summer Game Fest 2025, the English voice cast (Jennifer English - Maelle; Ben Starr Verso; Shala Nyx - Sciel; Kirsty Rider - Lune; Rich Keeble - Monoco and Maxence Cazorla - Esquie) of Clair Obscur Expedition 33 made a notable appearance at IGN to share their obviously exciting journey through the game's creation process. Speaking of which, they also shared the first ten minutes of a "Behind the Scenes" documentary currently in production.
In addition to the developer interviews, this is a great way to get a behind-the-scenes look at how Sandfall Interactive managed to create the phenomenon we know today. Please note, however, that this documentary about the painting of Clair Obscur Expedition 33 could be subject to change, and there is no specific release date yet.
