The Nintendo Switch 2's major launch game is undoubtedly Mario Kart World. It's accompanied by several titles that owners of Nintendo's first hybrid console never got to try, such as Hogwarts Legacy and Split Fiction.
Cyberpunk 2077 is also among the games to be integrated into Nintendo's ecosystem for the first time. CD Projekt clearly has no intention of sidelining its A-RPG, despite several projects in development. So, Cyberpunk 2077 will receive a big update this June.
A major Cyberpunk 2077 update 2.3 is coming in June
To coincide with the launch of Cyberpunk 2077 on Nintendo Switch 2, CD Projekt's communications director, Marcin Momot, reveals that a big update is coming this June.
"We're not done yet! Stay tuned for more information on the next Cyberpunk 2077 update, which will arrive later this month. We'll start telling you about it closer to the release of patch 2.3 (that's its name), so for now, we ask for a little patience," he wrote on X.
Pawel Sasko, quest director for Cyberpunk 2077, also shares his enthusiasm. It's a meeting place for chooms, the word for friends in the game's universe. Of course, the Cyberpunk 2077 update will be available on all platforms, including the Nintendo Switch 2. It's hard to imagine CD Projekt delivering such a dense content pipeline while the studio is actively working on The Witcher 4 and working on Project Orion, the sequel to Cyberpunk 2077. However, there is hope for new missions since Virtuos, a studio known for its support in the creation of expansions, was linked to Cyberpunk 2077 via a developer's CV.
It's also reasonable to hope for the release of a new game+ mode. Players have been keeping their fingers crossed that it will be implemented with the major 2.0 update and the release of Phantom Liberty, but it hasn't happened. Furthermore, some people are waiting for the deployment of a PS5 Pro patch for Cyberpunk 2077. Check back by the end of June to see what CD Projekt has in store for its now beloved RPG after a chaotic launch.
