Undoubtedly the number one theme park in France, Disneyland Paris welcomes several million visitors each year. For example, in 2023, 15 million people visited the two Parisian parks. But when is the best time to go? Taking into account prices, attendance, and the activities on offer, here are five suggestions!
#1 The start of the year
Despite often unpredictable weather and winter temperatures, the start of the year is ideal for Disney fans who want to enjoy the parks at a lower cost and with fewer crowds. While the atmosphere is less festive than during the Halloween and Christmas periods, there are still some remnants of the magic of the end-of-year holidays. The nighttime show Disney Tales of Magic, presented since January 2025, is a huge success. Naturally, for the reasons mentioned above, wait times for attractions will be minimal compared to other periods of higher attendance. This is an opportunity for spectators to visit the park in a different, more peaceful way, to enjoy the Disney characters and restaurants without reservation. The shops, meanwhile, offer discounts on seasonal products. January is obviously the ideal month, but March is even better for fully enjoying both parks.
#2 Before the summer holidays
Spring, and especially May and June, offers a perfect balance between affordable prices, an enchanting atmosphere, and varied activities. Not only are ticket prices lower than in summer, but Disneyland Paris is also embellished with beautiful floral decorations, creating a truly picturesque atmosphere around Sleeping Beauty Castle. The mild weather is ideal for outdoor activities, and restaurants offer fresh spring menus. In addition to concerts, spring is the perfect time to dive into the park before the summer rush. Be careful, however, of the many public holidays, which can lead to peak attendance! Take advantage of the mild temperatures at the end of summer to enjoy the park and its shops, where touches of orange decorations are beginning to appear, announcing the Halloween atmosphere. The restaurants offer comforting dishes, ideal for forgetting the pressure of going back to school. Note that during the first seven days of September, it is still possible to enjoy the Disney Music Festival​, which showcases Disney soundtracks.
#4 Come and shiver at Halloween
During the month of October, Disneyland Paris takes on the colors of Halloween. The park is transformed with autumnal decorations, giant pumpkins, and colorful skeletons. For Halloween, the villains from Disney animated classics—who, let's face it, are by far the best characters!—are in the spotlight. It's a chance to meet Jafar from Aladdin or Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty. While Mickey's Halloween Celebration is a must-see family experience, attractions like Phantom Manor and The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror will obviously be favored. To prolong the Halloween magic, shops and restaurants offer themed products to visitors. However, like the Christmas period, the All Saints' Day holiday period is synonymous with very high crowds, which leads to long lines. In addition, the cost of stays can be very high. Add to that the weather, which can be unpredictable... Despite all these minor drawbacks, the unique Halloween atmosphere at Disneyland Paris remains an unforgettable adventure with family or friends!
#5 The magic of Christmas
During the Christmas period, which extends from the beginning of November to the beginning of January, Disneyland Paris transforms into a true winter tale worthy of theNutcrackerfrom Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. Welcomed by a sparkling Christmas tree, fairy lights, and artificial snow on Main Street, U.S.A., visitors are immersed in a magical world. The Christmas Parade and its colorful floats, Disney characters dressed for the occasion, and the traditional carols of the show Singing Christmas, everything is done to immerse you in the magic of the end-of-year holidays. The park's restaurants are also getting in on the action, offering delicious dishes inspired by Christmas celebrations. Unfortunately, this magic that takes over the parks attracts a very large crowd every year, especially in December, which leads to extremely long wait times to enjoy the attractions. In addition, prices are higher, and stays easily become very expensive.
