Disneyland Paris regularly offers new features in the aisles of its Parisian park to attract visitors and offer new experiences to fans. However, while on paper some projects seem promising, once on the ground, they are disappointing. The latest one is a perfect example.
A promising new experience that disappoints Disneyland fans
A few days ago, we discovered that Disneyland Paris would be offering a new immersive experience that would appeal to all fans of the Star Wars saga. The Parisian theme park had announced the opening of a pop-up bar called the Lounge Lightspeed from May 31, 2025. Located in Discoveryland on the roof of Starport, just below the enormous X-Wing, guests can go there to enjoy a cold drink or a non-alcoholic cocktail accompanied by snacks inspired by Star Wars, while enjoying a breathtaking view of the futuristic land of Disneyland Paris. While the new spaceport-inspired attraction Star Tours: The Adventure Continues, developed by Walt Disney Imagineering Paris and sponsored by Coca-Cola, had thrilled fans of the park, It's a total failure.
While this pop-up Star Wars bar opened its doors to the public this Saturday, May 31st, and attracted many visitors with over an hour's wait, the feedback on this unique experience is negative, to say the least. It's safe to say it's a fiasco.
Is the Lightspeed Lounge at Disneyland Paris a scam?
Customers are pointing the finger at the menu prices. It must be said that for the virgin cocktail accompanied by two sweet or savory biscuits, you have to pay the sum of 22 euros. For the cold drink, again with the two biscuits, count on 15 euros. At this price and in partnership with Coca-Cola, customers regret that the bottles are not themed, that Disneyland Paris did not offer a Blue Milk and that the dry biscuits are tiny and presented in plastic packaging.
Furthermore, Disneyland Paris promised visitors the presence of the BD-X droids with Red, Orange and Green, who took over the park at the beginning of May. According to some customer feedback, these droids are not present all the time. To be sure of seeing them, you'd have to stay there for at least an hour.
Customers who try the Lightspeed Lounge experience can still leave with a little souvenir: the Boarding Pass.
The menu wasn't exactly a dream, but in reality it's even worse with their packaged dry biscuits?ï¿°ï¾ï¾¤ï¾£?

The size of the shortbread?? They're like speculoos cookies offered in cafes...

Why is there so little effort when there's so much potential? I'm so disappointed https://t.co/cBM8z4boXD
Actually, the storyline of the Lounge is:

You're being extorted by stormtroopers
I see that?
A Coca Cola for €4.20 VS a Coca Cola for €15

The two right opposite...
Will the choice be difficult?
If you still want to try this Star Wars experience during your visit to Disneyland Paris, know that the Lightspeed Lounge is open from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. until September 17.
