The Futuroscope theme park, located near Poitiers, continues to expand by offering new attractions. It will soon open the doors of Mission Bermuda, a family water attraction, and a new coaster is expected to open by 2027/2028, inspired by a Disneyland ride.

For its 38th season, Futuroscope will offer its visitors a new attraction called Mission Bermuda. It is a water attraction for the whole family in which, as its name suggests, you will be transported to the heart of the famous Bermuda Triangle from June 28th.

In 2024, the amusement park had reached the 2 million visitor mark. A winning return for the management, which launched the Vision 2025 program by investing 300 million euros over 5 years to create new attractions such as Chasseurs de Tornades, which was awarded the title of best attraction in the world in 2023 and which enabled the construction of two hotels with the Station Cosmos and the Ecolodgee as well as its water park, the Aquascope, also awarded.

From now on, the objective is 2030 with its new Vision 2030 program. Thus, according to information from the newspaper Les Échos, a future attraction inspired by Disneyland, initially planned for 2025, would open in 2027/2028.

In 2020, Futuroscope presented different types of roller coasters that could see the light of day in the park. Among them are interactive coasters like Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast at Disneyland where the visitor becomes an actor in the attraction, power coasters, a ride in which the cars move along the track using motors located under the train, or even suspended coasters where the rails are located above the cars and passengers have their legs dangling like Oziris at Parc Astérix. These types of coasters were studied by the park's developers to offer thrills and a narrative respecting Futuroscope's themes of new technologies and science.

Today, Futuroscope clarified things about its future attraction because the park explains that it is developing a "suspended roller coaster in a motorcycle position" and would be called The Race. Upon the announcement of this project, many coaster fans pointed out that this attraction is reminiscent of TRON at Disney World. On some specialist forums, there is talk of a Thrill Gilder that Vekoma is developing for Six Flags Magic Mountain, which is due to open in 2026 and will be the first of its kind in Europe.
