After several weeks of rumors, Samsung has made its Galaxy Unpacked event official. It will be held on July 9 in New York and will mark the launch of major products, such as the Galaxy Z Fold 7, the Z Flip 7, and the Galaxy Watch 8. This edition should also focus on artificial intelligence and the next version of its interface, One UI 8. Here's what we can expect from this conference.
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 in the spotlight
The two stars of this event will unsurprisingly be Samsung's new folding smartphones. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 promises an even thinner design, while the Z Flip 7 should benefit from a larger external screen, among other new features. An intriguing teaser had suggested an "Ultra" model, but recent leaks suggest an overall upgrade of the Fold 7.
On the accessories side, Samsung will also present the Galaxy Watch 8 as well as a new model: the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2025, which could rival the Apple Watch Ultra thanks to a more durable design or features designed for sports and adventure.
One UI 8 and perhaps a surprise guest
Samsung Samsung doesn't intend to stop at hardware. The Korean giant should also unveil One UI 8, its next interface based on Android 16, which should be available in a stable version. The new foldable smartphones will be the first to integrate it upon their release.
Another product under close scrutiny: the Galaxy S25 FE. This model, still unconfirmed, would complement the S25 range with a more affordable price. Some expect to see it unveiled at this Unpacked, but Samsung may prefer to reserve it for a separate announcement so as not to muddy the waters surrounding its foldables.
