What does George Lucas, the creator of Star Wars, think about the Disney postlogy and spin-offs? While the company with the big ears has announced new films (you can discover their program here), here's a quick recap of the thoughts of Luke Skywalker's father.
#1 The Force Awakens, 2015
This is the only film in the Disney's postlogy, about which George Lucas has spoken publicly:
They wanted to make a retro movie. I don't like that. I worked very hard to make each movie different [...]. I made them completely different—different planets, different spaceships to make them new. [2015 PBS interview]

#2 The Last Jedi, 2017
George Lucas has never spoken directly about the film, but a representative for the director, Connie Wethington, contacted THR and told them that Lucas thought the film was "beautifully made. [...] And speaking with director Rian Johnson afterward, he was full of praise."
#3 The Rise of Skywalker, 2019
Another Disney film on which George Lucas did not speak directly. However, according to actor Ian McDiarmid, who played Palpatine, the father of Star Wars considered the Emperor to be "absolutely dead."
#4 Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, 2016
Gareth Edwards, the director of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, said he received a phone call from George Lucas. The latter has never spoken publicly, but according to Gareth Edwards, George Lucas's reaction meant he could "...die happy now" and that he "really liked the movie".
#5 Solo: A Star Wars Story, 2018
Ron Howard told our colleagues at CBR that George Lucas supported him and gave him advice on the treatment of the characters. He hasn't spoken publicly about Solo: A Star Wars Story, but it seems like he liked the film.
[George Lucas] was really supportive. He doesn't work on movies these days. He came to visit the set, which is pretty rare, but he did it as a show of support, which was really cool. And he was very complimentary. But he was also very confident, when I arrived, that I would understand how to maximize the entertainment value of these characters and this world.
What did George Lucas have planned for the postlogy?
By selling Lucasfilm to Disney, George Lucas also gave the company with the big ears his ideas for a sequel. While we will never know for sure what his plans were for the postlogy, he notably wanted to delve deeper into the science of midichlorians (which some consider an idea to be thrown in the trash). According to Mark Hamill, who played Luke Skywalker, the father of Star Wars would never have killed Han, Leia, and Luke, the three pillars of the franchise:
[George Lucas] would never have considered killing off one of the main characters. You know, in the new movies, they kill us off one by one.
