DIYer doubles the range of his old Nissan Leaf from his garage
YouTuber Battery Man managed to give his old electric car a new lease of life by spending less than 10,000 euros. He replaced the battery of his first-generation Nissan Leaf himself. In three hours and without professional equipment, this electric car enthusiast installed a newer 62 kWh battery, doubling his car's range from 170 to over 360 km. A trick accessible to good DIYers, which could extend the lifespan of their old electric models.

The Gates of Hell finally close after burning for 54 years
The famous The burning crater in Turkmenistan's Karakum Desert has been burning continuously since 1971. However, on June 5, 2025, scientists announced that after 54 years of burning, the Gates of Hell were beginning to close. Thanks to new drilling and the recovery of methane before it ignites, the authorities are gradually extinguishing this major source of pollution.

Our tests of the week
Nintendo Switch 2: a welcome improvement, but not revolutionary
The Nintendo Switch 2 doesn't shake up the codes, but refines the formula with a better thought-out design, a large screen, 4K/60 fps in docked mode and still the versatility that made the success of the first generation. We appreciate the backward compatibility with all the titles of the Switch 1, the numerous games, the comfort in portable mode and the good management of heat and noise, but we regret that the calibration of the screen leaves something to be desired. In terms of power, the Switch 2 does not compete with the competition and the price of the console is therefore difficult to justify.

Dreame H15 Pro Heat: a highly efficient washer-dryer
With its hot water cleaning, powerful suction, and ultra-complete station, the Dreame H15 Pro Heat is a serious contender if you're looking for a washer-dryer. We love its design and build quality, and we appreciate that the automatic mode is also well-developed. It's almost flawless, with the only drawbacks being the lack of a detergent tank and LED lighting, and the device's weight.

LG OLED evo C5: an excellent TV that's less comprehensive than the G5
With the C5, LG offers a more affordable alternative to its premium range, without sacrificing the essentials. During our test, we were won over by the image quality in FilmMaker SDR mode, the enhanced WebOS interface, the numerous features for gamers, and the extremely neat design. While the HDR is accompanied by overly pronounced color saturation and the integrated audio remains in the background, the overall package holds up perfectly, especially at this price. Be careful, the remote control is deprived of backlighting.

AOC CU34G4: an affordable but improvable ultra-wide screen
With its 21:9 format, 1440p display, and 180 Hz refresh rate, the AOC CU34G4 ticks a lot of boxes for gamers looking for a good gaming monitor at the right price. However, we deplore the color calibration that leaves something to be desired, the reflections treatment is very average, and the curvature could have been more pronounced. That being said, the CU24G4 remains a good way to upgrade your setup without spending too much.

Bowers & Wilkins Px7 S3: high-end sound, but several compromises
The Px7 S3 focuses primarily on sound quality, with a quality audio signature that is unique to Bowers & Wilkins. The construction is neat, the materials are beautiful, the new placement of the hardware buttons is very practical, and we love the simultaneous connection of both sources. Unfortunately, at this price point, the absence of certain functions is regrettable. Indeed, we regret the absence of Fast Pair and the lack of customization on the various settings, and we would have appreciated if the port detection was more reliable.
