It's been over two months since inZoi, the famous "Sims-Killer", hit the market via Early Access. Krafton's title has had a pretty impressive start, selling over a million copies in just one week. As promised by the publisher, the title is far from being abandoned and the first content updates are starting to arrive.
inZoi: the ModKit is updated and improves customization
The road will be long for inZoi. Although its launch and early access are quite promising, the title is seriously lacking in content to claim to become a must-have in life simulation games. That's why Krafton has already established a roadmap with several major updates coming this year. The first one has been rolling out since May and will allow you to have:
- A modding kit compatible with Maya and Blender.
- Adjustments for character builds and muscles.
- The arrival of cheat codes, always appreciated in this type of game.
- Richer and more nuanced social relationships.
- An adoption system.
- New furniture and improvements to the build mode.
- A reworked character creation interface.
- New outfits available.
Today, the ModKit is getting a big update. This makes it easier than ever to create and share custom content, ushering in the era of modding for inZoi.
The inZOI ModKit is now available on the Epic Games Store and Steam, and includes native plugins for 3D creation tools Maya and Blender, with seamless integration with CurseForge for mod sharing. This arrival of the ModKit is the first of three phases regarding modding on inZoi. This first phase introduces modding tools for outfits and furniture, as well as a game data editor.
Later, the ModKit will unlock even more customization possibilities for characters, architecture, interactions, scripts, and more.
The next big wave of updates for inZoi is expected in August. The latter should allow the addition of:
- The "Ghost Play" mode, still mysterious for now.
- The ability to swim and the addition of pools.
- More tools for modifying cities.
- A construction mode assisted by artificial intelligence.
- Missions for freelancers.
- Better management of skills and messages.
- Improvements for parental interactions.
inZoi is available now on PC for €39.99 on Steam and the Epic Games Store. A few hours ago, during WWDC 2025, Apple announced that inZoi would soon be coming to Mac. Krafton has already confirmed that the goal is to release its game on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S later, at the end of Early Access.
