For its 2025 edition, Hellfest will offer festival-goers a number of new features. Since the end of February, Hellcity, a new brasserie located at the entrance to the festival, has opened its doors, and you can discover this other new feature that has just been announced for free.
Hellfest 2025, a decision that was not unanimous
Fans of extreme music will meet in Clisson in Loire-Atlantique to attend the new edition of Hellfest. The festival will take place from June 19 to 22 and festival-goers will be able to enjoy a rich program with 184 groups performing on the six stages. Hellfest 2025 features both new talent and legendary bands like Muse, Scorpions, Linkin Park, Korn and Judas Priest.
Although metal fans rushed to buy 4-day passes for this 18th edition, Hellfest 2025 had to face an outcry with a decision made by the management that was not to the liking of some festival-goers. Indeed, since February 28, the new Hellcity brewery has opened its doors right at the entrance to the festival.
However, during the event, only those with a Hellfest pass will be able to access it and a single menu at a price deemed too high will be offered. By the way, if you're going to Hellfest 2025 and still want to eat at Hellcity, you should know that you have to book in advance by visiting the festival website.
The Purple House, a unique and immersive experience
In addition to this new feature that has generated a lot of buzz, and not in a good way, there's another one that will be offered to festival-goers, and what's more, it will be free. Indeed, the Hellfest team has announced the Purple House, a completely free area accessible to all pass holders. It is an immersive experience that will plunge you into a "black box" with a "360° cage-shaped stage" at its center. Hellfest defines Purple House as "a new territory of all kinds of madness." Located at the entrance to Metal Corner, where the Cult Fanzone used to be, Purple House will offer around twenty concerts over five days, including performances by Medusa Hendricks and The Ember Dahlia. Hellfest will also offer entertainment such as retrogaming, pinball machines, fairground games, goodies, the Air Guitar losers final and other surprises.
To discover this new experience at Hellfest 2025, the Purple House will be open from Wednesday, June 18 from 4 p.m. to 1 a.m. and from Thursday to Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
