Google smartphone fans have been treated to a surprise in recent days: several photos of a Pixel 10 Pro prototype have emerged on the Telegram platform, relayed by the leaker Mystic Leaks. The device is reportedly a "DVT 1.0" model, meaning a version intended for initial design validation tests.
The Pixel 10 Pro design revealed
The photos show a design similar to the Pixel 9 Pro, with some visible adjustments. The camera bar on the back remains present, still shaped like a large pill, but appears even wider and perhaps thicker than that of the previous model. It features three sensors, an LED flash, and what looks very much like a temperature sensor, as on previous models.
Another notable change: the SIM card door is no longer on the lower edge, but has apparently been moved to the top left of the chassis, an area previously reserved for the antenna. The USB-C port is still there, accompanied by two symmetrical grilles, which could house a speaker and a microphone with identical openings, an unusual aesthetic detail.
The prototype sports a black or dark gray color, with a glossy finish and rounded corners, but it is not yet known if other color variations are planned.
Even more interesting: the prototype includes a Tensor G5 chip, the technical specifications of which have been partially leaked via the DevCheck application. According to the shared screenshots, the processor would be based on an eight-core architecture: 2 Cortex-A520 cores, 3 + 2 Cortex-A725 cores, 1 Cortex-X4 core.
A g5400i modem accompanies the chip, likely a Samsung Exynos design, rather than MediaTek. However, an inconsistency has been noted: the indicated engraving would be in 5 nm, while previous rumors were counting on a more modern 3 nm process. It is therefore possible that the prototype does not yet reflect the final specifications.
The date of August 20 returns insistently for the official presentation of the new Pixels, during the traditional Made by Google event. The Pixel 9 had been presented a week earlier last year. The range would consist of four models: Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL and Pixel 10 Pro Fold (the folding model).
At the same time, a Pixel Watch 4 could also appear at this occasion. And to get things going, the Mountain View company has invited a select group of "Superfans" to a private event in London on June 27, where they will get a first look at the new products.
