Pokemon Pocket adds new features every month. Whether it's events that allow you to win ultra-rare and unique cards, or expansions with hundreds of new cards. There's always something happening in the game, and soon, one of its most important features will be getting some very big changes, which many have been waiting for.
Pokemon Pocket will be revising one of its major features
The heart of Pokemon Pocket is card collecting, obviously, but there's another extremely important feature to the experience, essential for a lot of players: PvP. Competing against other players to earn a place in the rankings and win rewards is what keeps millions of players going long-term. While there's clearly no shortage of cards to build your decks, Pokemon Pocket's ranking system was unfair to many players. That's why, even before the expected changes to the trading system, ranked matches will be modified.
Pokemon Pocket has finally announced that significant changes will be made to the ranking system starting in June. Players will be rewarded for their achievements when they string together victories at high ranks, and they will no longer be demoted during the season for certain ranks. The goal is to maintain a positive mood and reward good players. On the other hand, there will be demotions at the beginning of each season to maintain interest.
- Starting at the end of the June season, a consecutive victory bonus will be added to the Ultra Ball rank and the Master Ball rank.
- Starting at the end of the Pokemon Pocket ranked season in July, players will no longer be demoted from the following ranks mid-season:
- Master Ball ↓ Ultra Ball
- Ultra Ball ↓ Great Ball
These changes may seem trivial to those who don't set foot in ranked play, but for the players concerned, it's a big and rather positive change. As for the overhaul of the trading system, however, we will have to wait until fall 2025.
