Resident Evil 9 Requiem: Here's the date you can't miss if you're waiting for it

After playing tricks on fans, Resident Evil 9 Requiem was announced at the conclusion of the Summer Game Fest 2025 conference. A very nice one more thing for fans of the genre and Capcom's horror series, especially since we had a double surprise regarding the release. First, we have a date! Then, it's this one that surprised people since the game will be available from February 27, 2026 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Given the developers' statements, we didn't expect such a quick launch, and this is therefore excellent news.

Resident Evil 9 Requiem soon to be brought to light by Capcom

Resident Evil 9 Requiem made its debut on stage at Summer Game Fest 2025 and is already generating a lot of buzz. For the first time, the title will allow players to alternate between a third-person view, like in the latest remakes, or a first-person view, like in Resident Evil 7. Another thing that has generated a lot of reaction is the main character of this installment. Some feel there are too many similarities with the other heroines of the saga, to the point where some thought it was Rose Winters who was playable in the RE Village DLC. And to be honest, that's what we immediately said, before learning that it was actually Grace Ashcroft, Alyssa Ashcroft's daughter.

Our special correspondent in Los Angeles had the chance to see a presentation of Resident Evil 9 Requiem, some excerpts of which will surely be shared with the general public very soon. A big announcement is coming for the game and here is the date not to be missed if you are waiting for it. On June 26, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. (French time), the publisher is giving us a date for a summer Capcom Spotlight with Monster Hunter Wilds, Street Fighter 6, Pragmata and therefore Resident Evil 9 Requiem.

"The Capcom Spotlight is an online event that gives you the latest news from Capcom! We will give you the latest news on the Capcom games you are eagerly awaiting, as well as interviews with the developers. Also expect news about updates to Monster Hunter Wilds. The event will be subtitled in French and will last 40 minutes, which gives plenty of time to reveal some concrete details about Resident Evil 9 Requiem. Fingers crossed for some gameplay!
