This weekend on Steam, PC players have a great lineup: three full games to try for free, great discounts if you decide to buy them... and a free DLC to keep forever and some little gifts. Here's what you shouldn't miss.
A classic to try for free on Steam
It's one of the pillars of horror multiplayer: Dead by Daylight is free to play all weekend on Steam. This asymmetrical game plunges you into a nightmare where four survivors try to escape a bloodthirsty killer controlled by another player. With over 580,000 reviews on Steam, it's a sure bet for thrill-seekers.
The free trial ends in 3 days (July 23 at 10:00 AM), but there's a promotion going with the event: Dead by Daylight is currently on sale for €7.99 instead of €19.99 (a 60% discount), and its many editions (Five Nights at Freddy's, Gold, etc.) are also on sale until June 26.
Grand Strategy for your brain
For budding strategists or Paradox veterans, Victoria 3 is also available to try for free on Steam. This game invites you to take control of a nation between 1836 and 1936, to negotiate, make your economy prosper, or suppress revolutions.
It's the perfect opportunity to test a complex and demanding title, renowned for its depth, especially since its latest updates. And here again, a discount accompanies the free trial: the base game drops to €14.99 instead of €49.99 (-70%), and many bundles are also on sale until June 26. To try it, you have until July 23 at 10:00 a.m.
A somewhat unusual game
Less well-known but very promising, Len’s Island is also being revealed for free until Monday on Steam. This open-world adventure game combines exploration, action-RPG combat, farming, and base building, both solo and in co-op for up to eight players. Once again, you can try it out until July 23 at 10:00 a.m.
With a "very positive" rating from over 3,600 reviews, the game celebrates its version 1.0 release on June 19, and offers a nice balance between relaxation, customization, and action. It is also on sale, at €18.84 instead of €28.99 (-35%), until July 3.
Free content to keep for life on Steam
Finally, if you own Architect Life: A House Design Simulator on Steam, new content is being offered this week: the Architect's Home Office DLC is available for free until June 26 at 7 p.m., and once claimed, you keep it for life.
This small pack adds 15 pieces of furniture and decorations to design an ideal architect's office, perfect for enriching your creations. It includes a drafting table, plants, a modern computer, and various decorative elements. Obtainable on Steam even if you haven't started the base game yet.
Little gifts on Steam
Alongside these free games to try, Steam is also organizing the Fishing Games Festival with new content in the Points Shop: animated avatars, stickers, chat effects and special frames are available for a limited time. You can redeem your Steam Points for these items to personalize your profile, even without spending a cent if you've collected points through recent purchases.
