Microsoft has announced a new feature for the Xbox app on PC. It will delight gamers, especially those with a large library who are at their wit's end.

The Xbox app on PC will become essential for gamers with this new feature

There are generally two types of PC gamers. Those who devote themselves exclusively to one game and then move on to the next one when they've finished it, or when they've had enough, and those who accumulate titles knowing full well they'll never have time to play them. If you're in the latter situation, you've probably heard the expression "pile of shame" - those games that sit dormant in our Steam, Prime Gaming, Epic Games Store, or other libraries. And when you want to install one, you not only have to juggle dozens, even hundreds of titles, but also those different platforms. Microsoft wants to help you. Not to buy fewer games, but to spend less time finding the right one. The Xbox app on PC will indeed bring together all the titles you own, no matter which service you have installed it on, as long as it is integrated into the program.

This new feature of the Xbox app on PC makes it much more convenient

With the aggregated game library, players can easily launch games from Xbox, Game Pass, Battle.net and others […] from a single library in the Xbox PC app. Whether you're on a Windows PC or a portable device, your Xbox library, hundreds of Game Pass titles and all your games installed on major PC platforms will now be at your fingertips,” reads the announcement of the feature, which will therefore be compatible with Microsoft's future portable console.

The company doesn't say it explicitly, but Steam is indeed supported. Now, when you install a game from one of the associated services, it automatically appears in the "My Library" and "Most Recent" tabs of the Xbox app on PC. It is also possible to hide games from a certain platform from the settings. For now, only those registered in the Xbox Insider program can benefit from this new feature. It will be rolled out to all users later, with no specific date specified.
