Tinder: Too Shy to Meet Your Match? You'll Love This New Feature

The dating app Tinder is getting a feature that will appeal to shy people and those who are afraid of falling into a trap on the first date. Here's how it works.

Tinder: Too Shy to Meet Your Match? You'll Love This New Feature

Whether you've already used a dating app or not, you're generally familiar with the principle. You scroll through profiles, indicate whether you like them or not, and wait for the “match” to reciprocate. After that, you start a conversation and, if all goes well, arrange a real-life date with the person. The rest is not the app's responsibility. Tinder, for example, works exactly like this.

In the vast majority of cases, everything goes smoothly. But unfortunately, you can't really know who you're going to be dealing with until you meet in person. Tinder's parent company, Match Group, is well aware of this. And while older users are increasingly turning away from this type of service, it wants to emphasize the safety of its users, who happen to be predominantly young. The new feature in question here is a good example.

The dating app Tinder wants to reassure the undecided with this new feature.

For some time now, Tinder has been experimenting with the Double Date feature. It allows you to create a profile and associate another person with it. It then becomes possible to “match with several”, meaning with another duo. Knowing that only one member can do this, there is no need for both to agree. The conversation that then opens includes everyone.

And of course, if there is a date, you will need to reserve a table for 4. In short, Tinder is simply integrating a practice that has always existed for those who want to ensure a form of security during the first date. Note that you can also register someone who has no intention of meeting someone. It is also possible to only see “Double Date” profiles or, on the contrary, to make them invisible. The option will be deployed on the application during the month of July.
