A PlayStation connected bracelet? No, just a Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro disguised

A PlayStationized Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro

There are always things to celebrate in life; for Sony, there is no need to look far. January 2015 marked the official launch of the PlayStation in China (in this case the PlayStation 4). Ten years later, the Japanese company is celebrating this date by collaborating with Xiaomi to offer a connected bracelet in the brand's colors.

The PlayStation China account illustrated this creation with two photos published on Weibo. At first glance, we are simply faced with a revisited Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro. No mistake then, since as we specify in our test, this activity bracelet plays the show with its large screen.

The packaging pays a strong tribute to the PlayStation ecosystem. We find the classic buttons of the controller: the green triangle, the orange circle, the blue cross and the pink square.

Concerning the blue bracelet, it sports these same buttons as well as the PlayStation logo. Xiaomi also provides a standard black replacement model. The other two items included in the box are the charging cable (equally common) and a little something: a commemorative card.

A Chinese product for China

The source says nothing about the features of the bracelet. Without taking too many risks, we assume that the changes are limited to the design. Apart from its appearance, it is therefore certainly a very classic Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro.

Let us recall that this device has a 1.74-inch OLED screen (336 x 480 pixels and maximum brightness of 1200 cd/m²) set in an aluminum frame. The device offers numerous health monitoring functions (heart rate, SpO2, sleep, etc.), supports 150 sports and offers GPS. Do not hesitate to consult our test for a comprehensive overview.

This is of course not the first product of its kind. To stay with Sony, let's mention the PS5 and PS5 Pro collectors developed for the 30th anniversary of PlayStation.

The source does not provide a price. As for availability, since it is a limited edition of a product commemorating the 10th anniversary of PlayStation China, marketing outside the country is probably not on the agenda!
