[AGDQ 2018] The charity event ended in a new record

After seven days of intensive and non-stop streaming, speedrunners around the world can finally rest, not without a certain feeling of satisfaction. Indeed, their hard journey as part of the Awesome Game Done Quick 2018, which began on January 7 and ended last Sunday, has finally paid off. And handsomely. Indeed, the charity event managed to raise the record sum of $2,263,373.

A more generous marathon than the previous one

“Record” because it's $40,000 better than the previous edition, which only managed to raise "only" $2.222 million. The amount of donations collected this year will be donated (between 80 and 90%) to the Prevent Cancer Foundation, a cancer-fighting charity. And if you're feeling generous, you can still drop a coin on the event website.
