In September 2024, Electronic Arts officially announced the development of the next Battlefield and hinted at a release date of 2025. Over the weeks, this was confirmed and we learned that the American firm was putting a lot of hope on this new opus and clearly intended to not repeat the mistakes of the past. The goal seems very clear: to make the best Battlefield ever designed at today, to return to the top and compete again with Call of Duty.
We learned in November 2024 that things were moving internally and that Electronic Arts was carrying out the biggest testing sessions to date with a fairly gargantuan amount of data collected. According to a professional in the video game industry who works at Amazon Games, the release of the title would be well planned for the end of 2025 and many changes would have been carried out internally, particularly on project management.
In a few hours, we should learn more since Electronic Arts will reveal the first information of its tester program, allowing the community to play the game in preview to the title to make the first decisive returns for the end of the game's development.
The first details of the Battlefield tester program
It is in a post on Twitter that Electronic Arts confirmed that this afternoon, at 5 p.m., the first information will be revealed on the tester program for the next Battlefield.
The purpose of this communication will be to give you the first details on the community test program. We should probably have the dates and the steps to register. The objective of the tests will be to give access to the non-final version of the game to some of the players in the community to collect their first feedback and improve the game based on it. More than ever, Electronic Arts wants to avoid the fiasco of recent years and offer fans THE Battlefield that they have been dreaming of for several games.
