On social networks, PlayStation knows how to wake up players. The company has just posted a strange message punctuated by colors that are familiar to us. Only one question is asked to Internet users: “What do these colors evoke in you?” This question then provokes a game of responses from players, and non-players, who have fun citing references that have nothing to do with see with PlayStation or Sony.
However, this innocuous question could hide a more serious hypothesis: is PlayStation teasing the arrival of a new product? The proposals are jostling and, without setting the powder alight, diverge. Some see the color of the Lakers, an NBA team, while others see it as a tribute to Spyro the dragon. There are also more crazy answers like the color of the Joy-Con purple and yellow and the Nintendo Switch. We must admit that the resemblance is striking.

There is something fishy going on
The simplest answer is to assume that new colors will be available in the brand's accessories section. The hashtag #PSColors puts us on this path that could just as easily concern console facades as controllers, or even both since they often come in pairs. PlayStation is not in the habit of playing on the field of asymmetry, so we imagine two really different shades.
Despite everything, there are already a purple in the PlayStation color range, this proposal could also fall through. We also note that the post only concerns the X account of the brand's French subsidiary. A major announcement was also teased on the official Japanese and American accounts. We can therefore also deduce that this is only a local operation, aimed at engaging the community on the networks.
Colors galore
In any case, the PS5 is not to be complained about in terms of customization. The console already has 10 different colors, the last three of which were released a few weeks ago, and as many matching controllers. The new model doesn't have as many, but some were transposed shortly after the release of the PS5 "Slim". Others may join them, but nothing is certain. We wouldn't say no to a collaboration with Spyro for a collector's PS5 in the colors of the dragon.
