Alongside the year's big releases, a hugely popular franchise will be back to thrill us: Little Nightmare. In October 2025, Little Nightmare 3 will be released on consoles and PC with a brand new adventure for the franchise, as it will be playable in co-op. To get things going, the game was given a long presentation during a dedicated showcase, and it's making us want it furiously.
Little Nightmare 3 gives us a release date!
Little Nightmare 3 follows the codes of the two previous installments, namely a creepy and terribly anxiety-inducing adventure, small heroes who look like terrified and sometimes terrifying children, as well as enemies who are generally huge and disturbing. For this new installment, however, the game will be playable in co-op. The characters evolve in pairs to get out of bad situations and the gameplay should also emphasize cooperation, like It Takes Two, in the idea.
Infiltration and anxiety-inducing atmospheres will be part of the game, as evidenced by a disturbing gameplay session in a very gloomy carnival populated by bloated giants and strange creatures. The opportunity to discover some game mechanics related to infiltration, but also to collaboration for platform phases in particular.
In more than one way, the game is tempting and should satisfy long-time fans. Little Nightmare 3 will be available from October 10, 2025 on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series, Xbox One and PC. Nintendo Switch 1 and Nintendo Switch 2 versions are also planned, but they will arrive later.
Very nice surprises for fans
As if one piece of good news wasn't enough, the studio announced the arrival of an ultimate version of the first Little Nightmare on PS5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. The game is available now for anyone who pre-orders one of the digital editions of Little Nightmare 3, otherwise you'll have to wait until October 10, 2025 to enjoy it.
Besides that, Little Nightmare and its universe will expand across multiple formats. A VR game, Little Nightmare VR Altered Echoes has been announced, but with no date or image yet. Several written projects have also been presented, with a comic book, which will also be released in October, and a young adult horror novel currently being written. A secret project is also in the works, although we don't really know what it will be yet, other than that it will be stop motion. The first glimpse, showing a young girl and her terrifying dollhouse, is enough to make your mouth water.
