Free Mobile makes the package at 2 € free, but on one condition

While Sosh is increasing one of its packages by €2, Free Mobile is trying to attract its €2 package subscribers by offering them to no longer pay for their mobile subscription. In return, they will have to commit to an internet offer with Free.

Free Mobile is banking on the Freebox Pop to retain its subscribers

Free Mobile is currently sending an email to its €2 package subscribers to offer them an alternative: switch to a Freebox and benefit from their mobile package for free. This operation is based on the Free Family advantage, which allows you to eliminate the €2 monthly billing of the mobile plan in exchange for a fixed internet subscription from the operator.

The offer highlighted concerns the Freebox Pop, but Free specifies that subscribers can also opt for the Freebox Ultra or Revolution Light. Once the subscription is taken out, simply attach the Freebox offer to the Free mobile plan to see its cost automatically drop to €0/month instead of €2. This offer is only for new subscriptions, excluding people who have subscribed to a Freebox in the previous 30 days.

A reduction subject to conditions and cannot be combined

While this offer may seem attractive to some subscribers, it remains subject to several conditions. First of all, the €2/month reduction only applies to a single €2 plan per subscriber. Secondly, it cannot be combined with other discounts offered by Free, in particular those applied to the Free 5G Plan. Free also highlights another advantage to encourage the switch to a Freebox: the coverage of the cancellation fees of the previous Internet service provider, up to €100. A way to remove a potential obstacle for subscribers still tied to another operator.

With this offer, Free Mobile seeks to maximize the number of convergent customers, i.e. those who have both a mobile plan and an internet box with the same operator. A strategy already adopted by its competitors, but which could appeal to holders of the €2 plan, provided that the internet offer suits them.
