In a few days, video game fans will be in for a treat thanks to the Summer Game Fest. The event will host some of the most important conferences of the year. It is likely that Xbox's will still be the best of all. We are starting to get used to it, the publisher and manufacturer has won this honor for at least 3 years. It is therefore with great enthusiasm that players await next June 9.
But patience is not everyone's strong point. Renowned dataminers and leakers are already starting to reveal the company's program for its showcase. Some titles seem more than obvious, while others may seem more surprising. The GPT account has published on X a preliminary list of games that should be presented by Xbox, Activision Blizzard and Bethesda.
A conference to dominate them all
The only title really confirmed is Call of Duty Black Ops 6. The next installment of the franchise will have its own live stream right after the main showcase, as was made official a few days ago. But it may not be the most anticipated game of the conference. Indeed, if we rely on the leaks, players will be able to access images of Gears of War 6. The license will not have had a game since 2019, despite the presence of a strong audience. In addition to this announcement, dataminers predict the arrival of a collection bringing together the first 3 opus for those who have never set foot in the franchise.
The rumors also mention the existence of a new DOOM game. Called The Dark Ages, this will be the next original entry that will propel players into a universe inspired by the medieval era. Few details emerge from this first information, which is why the Xbox showcase is essential to find out more.
We will then have to deal with titles that are a little more conventional and expected. We are thinking in particular of Indiana Jones and the Ancient Circle, developed by Bethesda, but also Avowed, the next Fable and the Shattered Space expansion for Starfield. It is also possible that the company will take the opportunity to address hardware issues, namely the console planned for the mid-generation, the subject of its services such as the Xbox Game Pass and its derivatives, or even the porting of its games to competing consoles.
