Netflix is improving its iOS app by adding a button to download a full season. Until now, users had to manually start downloading each episode.
Netflix makes it easier to download series on iPhone and iPad
The arrival of this button on the Netflix iPhone and iPad apps responds to a frequent request from subscribers. Now, on the page of a series, a new button appears next to the share option. By activating it, all the episodes of the selected season are downloaded automatically. No need to repeat the operation episode by episode.
To manage their downloads, users can always go to the dedicated section, accessible under the “My Netflix” tab. There, they find all the episodes stored on their device and can delete them individually if necessary.
A long-awaited feature on iOS and iPadOS
This option has already been available on Android for several years. Until now, iOS users had to wait or settle for manual downloads. Netflix is finally making up for this delay, but without really innovating, since it is simply an alignment with existing features. However, we will not deny ourselves our pleasure, this option being very practical when you are on a long trip and want to quickly download several episodes.
Subscribers can now take advantage of this new feature by updating the Netflix application on the App Store. A welcome development that improves the user experience and helps to (somewhat) soften the price increase of the streaming platform in some countries.
