Nintendo reveals the game behind the Emio teaser, and it's disappointing

The Kyoto firm has just revealed the title that was hidden behind this mysterious marketing operation, and it risks disappointing many players. Emio – The Smiling Man: Famicom Club Detective is none other than a sequel to the legendary visual novel franchise that has long remained exclusive to Japan. This was invited for the first time in the West with Switch remakes of the opus Famicom Detective Club: The Missing Heir and Famicom Detective Club: The Girl Who Stands Behind published in 2021. This news will not fail to delight fans of this niche genre, but the enthusiasm of the first trailer risks fading for many. The first information is nevertheless promising, with first of all the confirmation of a French localization.

An imminent release

Players will not have to wait a long time before getting your hands on this investigation and puzzle game. Emio – The Smiling Man: Famicom Club Detective will be available on Nintendo Switch from August 29, in dematerialized and physical versions: enough to satisfy collectors at heart.
