PlayStation Plus: these incredible games arrive very soon

PlayStation players have become accustomed to discovering new additions to the PS Plus catalog in two different waves. After the monthly rotation available in the three subscription tiers, it is the turn of the Extra and Premium plans to receive their new features. Once again, the information reaches us before its official announcement thanks to the sources of the famous billbil-kun, a renowned French leaker.

According to him, the new selection of games will enter the catalog on July 17, and we won't have to wait long to find out. Since official announcements usually take place on the second Wednesday of the month for a release the following Tuesday, the reveal should take place this afternoon. This month, fans of RPGs and action games will be in for a treat.

PlayStation has just shared the official list of new additions to PS Plus, confirming billbil-kun's information, with a few more surprises.

Big titles not to be missed

If billbil-kun's information is reliable, PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers will be able to enjoy six new games starting next week, including two particularly surprising headliners. First of all, JRPG fans will be delighted to find Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII: Reunion, a remaster of the game of the same name first released on PSP in 2008 in Europe. This Final Fantasy VII spin-off has become all the more important since the release of the Rebirth opus, which accentuates the impact of Zack's character on Cloud's adventure.

For those who prefer shooters, PlayStation Plus has acquired the rights to Remnant II, released in July 2023. This direct sequel to Remnant: From the Ashes (released in 2019) is an excellent TPS to discover alone or in cooperation, even if it did not meet with the same success as its predecessor.

These two nuggets will also be accompanied by the following titles, almost as enticing:

  • Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous – Enhanced Edition
  • Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord
  • No More Heroes 3
  • Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes Complete Edition
  • The Jackbox Party Pack 9
  • DEADCRAFT
  • Job Simulator (PS VR2)
  • Summoner
  • Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters
  • Joan of Arc

How to enjoy these games?

As a reminder, the PlayStation Plus Essential is a subscription service offered by Sony on its consoles giving you access to free downloadable games each month, often three or four in number, and allows you to play online on multiplayer games. The basic subscription is available at the price of €8.99 per month, €24.99 per quarter or €71.99 per year.

The Extra (400 PS4/PS5 games) or Premium (700 PS/PS2/PS3/PS4/PS5 games, streaming on PC, free trials) packages are displayed at the price of €13.99 per month / €39.99 per quarter / €125.99 per year for the Extra package or €16.99 per month / €49.99 per quarter / €151.99 per year for the Premium package. If you still don't know which one to choose, refer to our complete guide.
