In the absence of a possible Nintendo Direct to present its next game console, the Japanese manufacturer invites us to discover a presentation dedicated to independent titles. Rather than revealing this type of production during major live shows, Nintendo has been organizing its Indie Worlds for several years now. The previous one now dates back to November 2023, it was high time for the Kyoto firm to reveal the future indie gems destined for the Switch. The wait will not be very long since the next broadcast has been scheduled for tomorrow! Nintendo is giving us a date this Wednesday, April 17 at 4 p.m. for a presentation of about 20 minutes. As usual, it will be broadcast on the manufacturer's official YouTube and Twitch channels.
Although they don't generate as much hype as the Nintendo Direct, the Indie Worlds presentations are still worth watching very closely. Many large-scale independent productions are in preparation right now and this live could well have a few surprises in store for us. Once again, Metroidvania fans are hoping to discover news of the famous Hollow Knight Silksong. While everything suggests that the title's release is fast approaching, it is not certain that it will make an appearance at tomorrow's presentation.
The running gag that never ends
The incessant postponements have truly propelled Team Cherry's game to meme status. Each new virtual conference – whether Nintendo, Xbox or even PlayStation – is accompanied by renewed hopes from hordes of fans. Unfortunately, Silksong remains absent for the moment to subscribers. Will this change tomorrow? The title has not failed to make the headlines of the specialized media in recent weeks following the appearance of ratings from various international video game evaluation organizations. This process taking place at the end of development, it is not impossible that Hollow Knight Silksong is finally ready to give its news.
Nevertheless, since the partnership with Microsoft and Xbox for a day one release in the Game Pass, it is very likely that the Redmond firm has the exclusivity of this announcement. Hope springs eternal, but Hornet's appearance at tomorrow's Indie World seems unlikely. That certainly won't stop the conference from presenting other equally enticing surprises. See you in less than 24 hours for the verdict. Are there any indie games you're desperate to see at this presentation?
