Oppo is reportedly preparing to unveil the Find X8 Mini in the coming months, alongside the Find X8 Ultra. This compact model would complement the existing range, composed of the Find X8 and Find X8 Pro, while drawing inspiration from the success of the Vivo X200 Pro Mini in China.
Oppo Find X8 Mini, finally a new compact premium smartphone?
Compact smartphones are becoming increasingly rare. In the high-end segment, we can mention the Galaxy S25, the iPhone 16, the Xiaomi 14 or the Galaxy Z Flip 6. These could soon be joined by the Oppo Find X8 Mini, which does not intend to be a figurehead.
According to information shared by Digital Chat Station, the Find X8 Mini would have a 6.3-inch LTPO OLED screen with a 1.5K definition and a 120 Hz refresh rate. It would adopt a flat metal chassis and a new press button, replacing Oppo's traditional alert button.
In terms of design, the rear camera block of the Find X8 Mini would be similar to that of the future Oppo Find N5, hinting at a premium positioning and a certain consistency in the aesthetics of the brand's upcoming models.
Fast charging and advanced camera module
The Find X8 Mini would have a photo module composed of three modules:
- A 50 Mpx main sensor;
- An ultra-wide-angle with a 50 Mpx sensor;
- A periscopic telephoto lens with a 50 Mpx sensor offering a x3.5 zoom factor.
This last sensor could be based on the Samsung ISOCELL JN5. In terms of autonomy, the device would support 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging, while weighing between 180 and 189 g. Oppo would also bet on a reduced thickness, without more information on the exact dimensions of the product.
Under the hood, the Find X8 Mini would work with the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 SoC, that is to say the same chip that is found on the Find X8 and Find X8 Pro. A choice that would allow the compact model to offer performances of the same caliber as those of its big brothers. The Oppo Find X8 Mini is expected around March or April and would be presented at the same time as a certain Find X8 Ultra.
