For several years, Good Lock has established itself as a popular tool for users of Samsung smartphones wishing to personalize their interface. With One UI 7, Samsung announces a complete overhaul of this application while expanding its accessibility on a global scale via the Google Play Store.
Samsung Good Lock for everyone thanks to One UI 7
Good Lock, Samsung's customization tool, is undergoing a real evolution with One UI 7, the latest version of the interface based on Android 15. Currently available in a limited number of regions via the Galaxy Store, Good Lock will be offered worldwide from 2025 thanks to its arrival on the Google Play Store. This announcement, confirmed by Samsung on its community site, means that all Galaxy smartphone users will have access to its features, regardless of their country of residence.
The application allows you to modify various aspects of the interface, such as the application launcher or the features of the small external screen of the Galaxy Z Flip. These options address specific needs often expressed by users, ranging from simple customization to solving practical system limitations.
A redesign for greater simplicity
In addition to its global deployment, Good Lock will benefit from a complete redesign. Samsung promises a more ergonomic interface, in particular thanks to a reorganization of the main page. This new version will integrate a filter to sort Good Lock modules according to their function and a new “My Page” tab, designed to better manage associated applications.
Certain features of Good Lock, currently unavailable with One UI 7, will also receive updates in the coming months, according to Samsung. These changes aim to make the user experience more fluid and intuitive, meeting the expectations of both novices and experienced users. One UI 7, currently in beta on the Galaxy S24, will officially launch with the Galaxy S25 series in January 2025.
