This year, players will not have the pleasure of tasting PlayStation's first-party games, but the exclusives from partner studios will largely compensate for this absence. After Final Fantasy VII Rebirth or Tekken 8, we are patiently waiting for the release of Stellar Blade, the next big entry. Developed by the Korean studio Shift Up, the action title is already looking explosive.
The good news is that players will be able to get their hands on it early. PlayStation has just made official the arrival of a demo in the coming days. It will allow the undecided to form a first opinion on the game, and for players already convinced to start their adventure for free. You won't have to wait long since the demo will be playable from March 29 at 3 p.m. on PS5.
Stellar Blade still has a release date set for April 26. That leaves less than a month for potential fans to test the game. As a reminder, you play as EVE, a fighter who is part of an armed force that has come to retake Earth from the invaders. The Naytibas are tough aliens, but you will have to be tougher than them in order to successfully complete your mission. The demo is located at the beginning of the game, allowing you to discover the very first chapter of the adventure.
Don't start all over again!
This is practical since it contains a tutorial. This is also good news for those who don't want to play the same thing twice. It will be possible to keep your save when the game is fully released. To do this, you will simply need to keep the saved data from Stellar Blade on your PS5. Sony does not reveal how long the demo will last, but it will take you up to the first boss fight, which should last between 30 minutes and 1 hour if we are faced with standard gameplay. Sony promises us a little surprise if players manage to: the end of this fight.
Stellar Blade already promises to appeal to fans of traditional action games. Indeed, the title features female characters with idealized bodies and stunning combat skills. Its aesthetics remind us of early science fiction games such as Metroid and Samus Aran in her Zero Suit, to name just one. EVE's adventures will take her to desolate cities, in the hands of a few humans, but mostly aliens. It seems that Stellar Blade will be an open world and that it will be visually impressive. It remains to be seen if our expectations will be met on April 26.
