The price of an electric dacia falls under the 17,000 euros

The price of an electric dacia falls under the 17,000 euros

Dacia marked the year 2024 by introducing a new generation of its Duster, and by taking the lead in European sales thanks to its Sandero. As for its electric range, mainly consisting of the Spring, the year was more difficult with the withdrawal of the ecological bonus (due to Chinese production) and the withdrawal of the entry-level 45 hp version. The brand wants to turn the page in 2025 and has just introduced this missing engine to the restyled version of its electric city car. Its price falls below 17,000 euros, to 16,900 euros.

Dacia's electric car must face stronger competition. Even if its main rival, the MG3, has also lost its appeal in Europe, models like the Citroën ë-C3, Fiat Grande Panda, Renault R5 and other Leapmotor T03 have what it takes to overshadow it. The Spring, then equipped with a single 65 hp engine, available at a price of 18,900 euros (Expression finish), saw its sales fall to just 5,100 units in France (17th in the annual sales ranking). Far from the 17,000 sales in 2023.

Dacia's offer for a Spring at 16,900 euros

To fall to 16,900 euros, Dacia's electric Spring has not obtained an ecological bonus or any government aid. Dacia has mainly made concessions, with an entry-level Essential finish that forgets air conditioning, as well as electric windows. In addition to the 20 hp loss in power, the car will be more simplistic.

Furthermore, Dacia has not been able to dig deeper in Europe, while the new legislation requires car manufacturers to equip their new cars with automatic emergency braking, traffic sign recognition, lane keeping assistance, driver monitoring, emergency call (eCall), and speeding and lane change alerts.

On board, the Essentiel finish also does away with the central touch screen, introduced on the new generation of Duster. To obtain infotainment features, you will need to connect your smartphone, thanks to a rather practical system from Dacia to transform your device into a real controller of the multimedia system. To obtain a screen, you will need to upgrade to the Expression version, also available on the 45 hp engine, provided you pay 1000 euros more: 17900 euros.

In addition, the price brochure is rather simple to understand, while each range level is separated by 1000 euros. Prices thus rise to 18900 euros on the 65 hp version in Expression, and 19900 euros for the Extreme version. For long-term rental, an offer is available from 79 euros per month, with a contribution of 3000 euros.
